Adult Education (Sunday School)

Vision: Our vision is to educate adults in the Word of God and to apply the Scriptures to our everyday lives.

Goal: Our goal is to reach out to more adults within the congregation and educate them about the Word of God.

Belief: The world today can be a confusing, frustrating and intimidating place. To feel secure in such an environment requires that we get to know God and learn to discern truth from fiction. Spending time in the Word of God and studying the examples provided by Scripture helps us to know God, His character, His truth and His love. It is our belief that as people gain a better understanding of the Bible, as Christians, they'll be better equipped to deal with the day-to-day issues confronting them.

Life Design Women's Group

Ministry Leader: Randi McAffee.

Life Design Ministry is a topical Bible study which addresses the needs of the whole woman. Free Bibles are given to those who request them. There is a fee for the class but scholarships are available. Electives include such classes as exercise, cooking, craft’s, photography, gardening, book studies, knitting etc. (During each session there are three different classes to choose from).

A Children's program is offered for ages 10 mos. – 5 years. The program is free and the children learn lessons which at times correlates with the women’s study. Babies 9 mos. and younger stay with their moms during study.

Mission: Bring people to Jesus Christ and teach them in His way of life.

When: Wednesdays, 9:15 a.m.

Lifeline

Lifeline Ministry is Pastor Paul's Wednesday evening Bible study class. Everyone is invited to this informal class. Child care available, contact the office or Pastor Paul to coordinate.

Moms in Touch

Ministry Leaders: Angelica Griffith, (805) 798-5372, Jackie O'Brien (805) 646-1542.

Moms in Touch Ministries include breakfasts with special guest speakers that offer a time for fellowship and growing. Plus there are other activities such as Promise Keepers, Missions trips, etc.

Moms in Touch, junior high students: Meets at Angelica Griffith's, Tuesdays at 8:00 a.m.

Praying Moms, college/career age students: Meets at OVCC Leis Hall, Mondays at 7:00 a.m.

Small Groups Ministry

Ministry Leader:

Small Groups Ministry consists of small groups who gather at various homes throughout the week for fellowship and Bible study. Ranging in size from 4 to 12 people each, these groups study different books of the Bible or Christian topics according to members' interests and needs.

Shut-in Ministry

Ministry Leader: Pastor Paul Bergmann, (805) 646-4324.

The purpose of the Shut-in Ministry is to encourage, comfort, counsel, and express love and concern for those unable to attend church for any reason whatsoever and especially to offer the Lord’s Supper (communion).

Our objective is to let these people know that we at OVCC love them and we care!

Women’s Retreat

Each spring, women gather together for a refreshing spiritual retreat which includes speakers, fun and fellowship.

Zumba at OVCC

Zumba fitness for all ages and fitness levels. Meets at OVCC Youth Center, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 p.m., Saturdays at 8:00 a.m.
