The Practice of Connecting with God
Wednesdays at Community, 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Discussion – Pastor Victoria and others will lead discussions about how different spiritual practices can help us remove barriers and quiet the distractions so that we can connect with and experience God directly.
Taize Prayer – Settling down to just be present with God takes some effort to disconnect from the busyness of everyday life. Taize is a prayer service that creates sacred space through ancient chants, short readings, and silent prayer. More about Taize services worldwide.
Lectio Divina – is an ancient practice of “holy reading,” an opportunity to listen and respond to the spirit of God active in life today. Response through sharing, writing, and art.
Meditation – Through simple instruction and some guided meditations, and sometimes our giant labyrinth in our courtyard, practice the art of listening deeply to God and your own soul. Silence is an essential practice that opens you to the Still Small Voice calling your name.
