What We
Believe & Teach
Our
Beliefs
We believe the
Bible to be the absolute authority for belief and practice for both
the individual and the church.
Those beliefs
held to be essential include the Trinity, the deity of Jesus Christ,
man's sinful condition and consequent separation from God, salvation
by grace alone through faith, and Christ's atoning death,
resurrection and second coming.
Our
Purpose
The Purpose of
this church is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ both in this
community and around the world; to provide an environment in which
those called to fellowship with this church may worship, grow in
faith and Christ's likeness, and express their faith through service
both within the body and through outreach to the community.
Our
Organization
We are an independent body
of believers, governed by a Board of Elders. This group of servant
leaders is responsible for the equipping, purity, care, spiritual
growth, outreach, and administration of the body.
Our
Membership
The membership
of this body is made up of those who have confessed faith in Jesus
Christ as their Savior and Lord, declared their commitment by
baptism, and willingly submitted to the leadership and by-laws of
this church. Baptism is understood as a declaration of faith, not
as a means to salvation. |
