Maria David has been working with OVCC's youth since 1999, and took on the task of being Ryan's office assistant three years ago. She went to school at Eastern Michigan where she swam, and also met her husband-to-be, Galen. She is now the mother of four children who are all 2 years apart, loves Grey's Anatomy, and working out at Curves.  In addition to making all of the preparations for Hume Lake, and our annual snowboarding trip, she also handles most of the parent-church relations for our youth group.

If Maria could have any super power she would fly, and her favorite part of the movie "Titanic," was when Kate Winslet was on the front of the ship, "flying."

Tim Beckett started out not really knowing what he thought of working with "Darren's Older brother" as an OVCC intern.* But quickly discovered that there was a method to Ryan's madness. After Nordhoff Tim applied to Hume Lake's prestigious "Joshua Institute," a 1 year Bible school, where he was accepted and attended before taking a summer job at Hume Lake. Following his tenure there, he came home to Ojai where he has been an incredibly faithful work horse ever since. Tim's desire to disciple shines through, and he has become a great mentor and teacher.

Tim's favorite power ranger is the Green Ranger, and he really really can't handle spicy foods.

Michaela Andrews began serving with Ryan at OVCC 9 years ago, when Ryan asked her to sing with him on the junior high worship team, while working with Pastor Richie. She has a huge desire to work with teens, serving with both jr. highers and high schoolers, at least two days a week. As if that wasn't enough, Michaela works on the weekends as a dorm parent at Ojai Valley School, supervising and caring for international students who board here in Ojai.

Michaela's favorite Bruce Lee movie is, "I don't know any, and her favorite part of the movie "Titanic" was when Jack says, "Promise me you'll never let go Rose."

Alexa Garner grew up in OVCC's youth group, and was asked to help lead as soon as she graduated from Nordhoff, four years ago. Her passion for kids, God, and games shines through, as does her singing voice. She is currently going to school to be a Nurse, and loves distant running.

Alexa's favorite Disney princess is Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and her favorite prince is John Smith (Pocahontas).

Carl Newcastle originally came to Ojai to work at Forest Home Christian camp. Before coming to Ojai Carl worked at Spring Hill Camp in Michigan/Indiana for 3 years. Carl graduated from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids Michigan where he studied music performance. Carl tried to leave Ojai once, but quickly found himself called back to the area when he received an opportunity to work at Ojai Valley Inn, setting up A/V equipment for guest groups.

Carl's favorite type of sushi is the "Wild Thing" from Sakura, and if he could be any type of dinosaur he would be a Pterodactyl.
